Mission The mission of the George Mason Chapter of the American College of Healthcare Executives (GMU ACHE) is to advance the knowledge of healthcare through discussion of issues and interests from faculty and students at George Mason University; the dissemination of information related to healthcare, health sciences, health management and correlate fields to current members for the purpose of advancing education interest in the field; inform non-members of the existence of the field of healthcare and graduate programs in Health Systems Management and Nursing at George Mason and other Universities; provide a medium for discussion of issues, policy, and research related to the field.
Vision
The vision of the George Mason University Chapter of the American College of Healthcare Executives is to present weekly meetings that will inform students of healthcare industry trends, provide a forum for discussion of industry direction, provide a networking environment comprised of faculty, healthcare professionals, and your fellow graduate and undergraduate scholars within the University and the Greater Washington Region; to provide graduating students career support in starting their professional career; to make available opportunities to visit, convene, and interact with local health systems, health agencies, not-for-profits organizations, and government facilities to interact with students in order to demonstrate our healthcare system in action.
