Ethiopian Students Association at George Mason University was founded in the summer of 2000 and was officially recognized by the school under the International Student
Umbrella in September. ESA is an organization established to promote effective social and academic interaction among its members. ESA is a non-politically aligned
organization that understands the current social, economic and political challenges facing our nation and advocates the need to promote and facilitate open discussion in order to
take action by its members. ESA is also committed in reaching out to the Mason community to create awareness of our rich and diverse culture by organizing various events on
campus throughout the year.
