George's restaurant
George's is located on the South end of the 3rd floor for of the Johnson Center. It serves lunch and, as of Fall 2007, serves dinner as well. Each day there is a daily special, an exhibition (which is prepared and served individually by a chef), and a salad bar. Fajitas day is a particularly popular day for George's because the exhibition is beef or chicken fajitas, served with peppers, onions, and a starch like rice or beans.
George's is a little more expensive than some of the other Johnson Center offerings. The daily special and the exhibition are both worth more than one equivalency on the meal plan system. If you have meal plans the two equivalencies that you have to spend anyway will actually cover the "whole deal," which includes any combination of any of the offerings. If you have Freedom...just get what you want for a reasonable price.
The food at George's is considered to be one of the best kept secrets on the Fairfax Campus, as it has been a lunch-only place until recently. George's has many regulars that include not only students, but also faculty and administrators.
