The GMU Gerontology Student Association (GMU GSA), is sponsored by the George Mason University Gerontology Program Office. Mirrored after the Gerontology Society's Nationwide Academic Program, this association is dedicated to furthering education, networking, information sharing, career development and research for students interested in the study of aging and/or who plan careers in the growing field of gerontology. Many disciplines converge in the study of aging: sociology, nursing, social work, psychology, biology, medicine, geriatrics, nutrition, policy/advocacy, the law and even architecture/engineering.
