The following info is from the Golden Key website.Golden Key is an academic honour society that recognizes the outstanding scholastic achievements of juniors and seniors ranked in the top 15% of their college or university. There are nearly 350 chapters of Golden Key in the United States and across the world, including Australia, Canada, Malaysia, New Zealand, and South Africa. Golden Key is also a certified member of the
Association of College Honor Societies.
The George Mason University Chapter of Golden Key is advised by Dr. Doris Bitler and Dr. Walter Rankin, and the chapter proudly emphasizes both academic excellence and a commitment to community service. Our members have collected items and food for hurricane victims, the Salvation Army, and a local women’s shelter; they have marched in the National AIDs Walk; they have volunteered with CrossLink International, a humanitarian aid organization; and they joined in the Help America Vote College Poll Worker Program.
