As a residential student on George Mason University’s Fairfax campus, freshmen receive a resident mailbox located on the lower level of Student Union Building II. This mailbox will belong to the resident for the duration of his or her stay on campus. Some mailboxes are key-operated, while newer ones have combination locks.
In the event that a key to a mailbox is lost, the student will be charged with a replacement fee of $10.
A non-residential student may also rent a campus mailbox at a price of $25 per semester and $40 per year.
Mason also has a post office in the Johnson Center run by USPS where students can buy stamps, shipping material, and ship packages.
Make sure you get there Monday through Friday because Mail Services in Sub II is only open during the week. It has limited hours and is usually only open till 4pm.
