Pi Sigma Alpha
Following info from the Pi Sigma Alpha website.
The Xi Lambda Chapter of Pi Sigma Alpha was established at George Mason University in 1983. It is a single branch of the national organization, which was founded at the University of Texas in 1920. Pi Sigma Alpha is designed to both recognize college students who have excelled in the field of Political Science and to unite those students in an effort to provide an opportunity to discuss common concerns and exchange ideas.

Interact with students & faculty specializing in Political Science
Compete for Scholarship Opportunities associated with Pi Sigma Alpha
Act in a leadership role by taking on a position as an officer
Gain eligibility for awards & recognition within the Political Science Field
Receive Pi Sigma Alpha graduation cords for being on the College of Arts and Sciences Dean’s List for at least two semester’s as a Junior and Senior
Receive a Pi Sigma Alpha Medallion for exceptional service to the Honor Society
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS FOR
FULL MEMBERSHIP:
Major must fall within GMU's Department of Public & Int'l Affairs
Must have completed 12 credits within the department
Must have completed, or are currently taking GOVT/ADJ 300
Must be of Junior or Senior standing
Must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher in the Major
Must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher overall
Must pay a one time $65.00 lifetime membership fee
