American education. Courses taken from George Mason University - Ras Al Khaimah campus will transfer to other educational institutions the same way as courses taken at George Mason University, U.S.A., transfer.
Documents issued by Mason. Letters of admission, transcripts, and diplomas will be issued from George Mason University, U.S.A.
George Mason University, Ras Al Khaimah (GMU-RAK) was developed in 2005 by a royal decree of the government of Ras Al Khaimah, under the patronage of the Crown Prince of Ras Al Khaimah, H.H. Sheikh Saud Bin Saqr Al Qassimi. Ras Al Khaimah is one of seven emirates forming the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and is located about one hour's drive north of Dubai. Ras Al Khaimah has a rich cultural legacy and boasts dramatic landscapes with rugged mountains, sandy deserts and lush green plains all situated along the Arabian Gulf. The George Mason University - Ras Al Khaimah campus is currently located in the former Higher Colleges of Technology for Men (behind the RAK Club) in the Al Zahara area of RAK. Once construction for the initial building is completed, the campus will shift to its permanent location — a picturesque site on the Emirates Highway at the Umm Al Quwain-RAK border. At the permanent site, the George Mason University - Ras Al Khamah campus aims to provide state-of-the-art facilities to its students and faculty, which will include well-equipped labs and a library. Future plans include a recreation and fitness center, sports facilities, a cafeteria, a student lounge, and a full complement of student and academic services.
